Mix sounds! Like other sounds, musical tones are almost always a mixture of several partials. The composition is perceived as a timbre. In the case of tones in the narrower sense, which in contrast to sound in general, have a precisely determinable pitch, the frequencies of the partials are related to each other in whole numbers: 1:2:3:4:5, etc. They form the so-called overtone series.
Mix your own sound here: Use the vertical controls to determine the proportion of the different partials and then use the detune-control to influence the noisiness.
Do you notice that it now sounds more like a bell or a gong?
